I had a mixed experience at Club Balai Isabel. The location near Taal volcano was stunning, and I appreciated the spacious and clean rooms. However, the service left much to be desired, particularly at the front desk, and the dining options were overpriced for what was offered.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious with two queen beds and a small kitchenette. It was clean, but I expected more hotel-like amenities.
Service
5.0
The front desk service was pretty poor. I couldn't get any info on the restaurant menu without going there in person, which was frustrating.
Location
8.0
The location was beautiful, right in front of Taal lake and the volcano. It felt like a perfect getaway from the city.
Dining
5.0
The food was okay but way too expensive. For a breakfast buffet costing 1,490 pesos per person, I expected better quality and variety.
Facilities
5.0
Factoring in the amenities, it felt more like a condotel than a hotel. There are lots of pools and family activities, but housekeeping could have done better.

My stay at Club Balai Isabel had its highlights, like the amazing view of Taal volcano and the spacious rooms. However, the overall experience was marred by inadequate service and a lack of basic amenities. I can't overlook the issues like the broken water supply and extremely slow dining options. It's a beautiful place, but it definitely needs some improvements.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious and had a loft with a fantastic view of the Taal volcano. However, amenities were lacking; there were no phones to contact the front desk for assistance, which was quite inconvenient. I also found the bathroom temp changes very frustrating.
Service
5.0
Service was scattered and untrained, making the check-in and dining experiences frustrating. I had to follow up multiple times for basic needs, and it felt like the staff wasn't coordinated. This definitely took away from my overall enjoyment.
Location
7.0
The resort is quite remote, which provides a peaceful atmosphere. However, being about 20 minutes away from Tagaytay means you should plan ahead for anything off-site. The view of the lake and volcano is definitely a major plus.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a letdown, with limited choices and slow service. I wanted to enjoy an a la carte meal, but many items weren't available, which was disappointing. The prices felt unjustified for what was offered.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities appeared outdated and in need of maintenance. The lack of amenities such as a phone in the room and basic toiletries made my stay less comfortable. They need to up their game in this area.

My stay at Club Balai Isabel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room was surprisingly spacious and well-equipped for the price, complete with two queen beds and a kitchenette. However, the dining options were a bit hit or miss, and I faced multiple service hiccups throughout my visit. Overall, I'd rate my experience as good but with room for improvement.

Rooms
8.0
I was impressed with the size of the room; it had two queen beds and even a kitchenette, which is great. However, there were some basic amenities missing, and the overall condition could use some upkeep.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally friendly and tried their best, but I experienced some significant efficiency issues, especially during check-in and when requesting additional items for my room.
Location
8.0
Located along the highway and just a couple of hours from Manila, the resort has a great view of Taal Lake and is in a fantastic spot for outdoor activities.
Dining
6.0
The food was a bit inconsistent; some meals were good while others left much to be desired, particularly breakfast which I felt was overpriced for what was offered.
Facilities
7.0
The resort offers various facilities that cater to different guests, but I did notice some areas needing improvement, like better signage and more attention to cleanliness.

My stay at Club Balai Isabel had its ups and downs. I loved the natural environment and the range of activities available, including the well-maintained Kumintang Pool. However, the check-in process and lack of communication barriers significantly impacted my overall experience. The absence of in-room Wi-Fi and amenities made the stay somewhat inconvenient. Overall, it's a mixed bag but had its nice moments. 🌊🏖️

Rooms

The room I stayed in had clean beddings and a great view of Taal Lake, but the amenities were lacking. There was no house phone, which made it inconvenient to request services. The room's absence of utensils and proper kitchen equipment was frustrating during my stay.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly and accommodating, the overall service felt disorganized. My check-in experience was poor due to strict policies and curt communication. It took a long time to receive room necessities, affecting my stay negatively.
Location
9.0
Club Balai Isabel is beautifully situated near Taal Lake and offers a serene escape from the city's hustle. The surroundings, filled with fruit-bearing trees, added to the tranquil ambiance I appreciated during my stay.
Dining

Dining at Terraza was a mixed experience. The food was delicious but pricey for the buffet, which felt inflated for what was offered. Despite this, the service from the restaurant staff was commendable.
Facilities
7.0
The resort provided a range of activities, from water sports to biking. However, some facilities seemed under-equipped, and it often felt like amenities were missing or not easily accessible.

My room was spacious and clean, though we had a slight issue with a leaking sink faucet which was promptly addressed. However, there were some maintenance issues like mold on the balconies and broken sliding doors that detracted from the experience.
